Working with views in D365
This guideline contains how to customize and save your own views in D365.
Different views
• Standard view: When it says, ‘Standard view’, that means as it says the standard view with no
adaptions
• My view: When it says, ‘My view’, it means that something is adapted in the view your using
How to adjust a view
• Add a column
Let’s use the sales order overview for example. Right click on column line and choose ‘Insert
columns..'
Now check off the fields you want to add and press 'Update'
Now the column will appear next to the other columns:
Remove a column
To remove a field, just right click on it and press ‘Hide this column’
Move, expand or narrow a column
If you want to change position of the field you added, you can click and hold on the four dots in front of the field and pull it to the place you want it.
To expand or narrow the field you need to place the mouse in the side of the field and you can now drag it to reduce or expand the width of the field.
Customize and save filters
You can now save filters I views. Let’s use the example of tag counting.
Open the ‘Tag Counting’ and start by filtering for your own store.
Now you only see your own stores views.
To save this click on ‘My view’.
Here you can either press ‘Save’ to save it under the name ‘My view’.
Or ‘Save as’ to give a new name.
By just clicking ‘Save’, then everytime you open the ‘Tag counting’ your filtered savings will appear.
So in this case you will only see your own stores tag countings.
You can always get back to the standard view by pressing ‘My view’ and then just choose ‘Standard view’
N.B: Evertime you change something in a view, a * will appear.
If you don’t save the view, all the changes you’ve made will disappear.
